This song, man. In a way it perfectly sums up the REBIRTH half. I’m quite fond of the nods it makes toward an old Session 606 song, “Piketurez.”

(One of the endless reasons that) I love Session 606 so much because the songs convey helplessness, with a sprinkle of false optimism to finish it off.

That’s how I feel day to day. Helpless, but I feed myself lies to get through. Make up mantras. Concoct confidence. #realtalk

3 - “You’ve Been Shot”
Paint By Number (2000)

Paint By Number is the first official release from the band “3.” 12 of the albums 13 tracks feature the band’s original lineup of Joey Eppard, Josh Eppard and Chris Bittner. The Gartdrumm makes his debut on the title track. The songs are very strong and the band is able to mix and blend various styles while still maintaining an original sound. The record was recorded in 1998 for Universal records but the band was dropped before anyone even heard the record they made. It ended up being released in 2000 on Planet Noise records. Josh went on to play drums for Coheed and Cambria, Chris went on to engineer and produce the first 3 Coheed albums and Joey forged ahead with the Gartdrumm to make “3” what it is today.

My dear friends, in just 1 day the debut Session 606 EP will be up for consumption. I’ve been working 4 years toward this with the musician himself- Anthony Masington, as well as Bryan Mills. This project began in Kingston, NY and since then bounced around to Trevose, PA; Woodstock, NY; and Bethesda, MD. For less than the price of a fast food value meal, this collection of songs can be in your ears!

This project is straight passion. All of the sales are going directly into completion of the second EP. Second EP, already? Yes. Due to recording costs, we felt the most realistic approach was to break the Hiatus & Rebirth album down into two EPs. So… we are making $0. Ant Mas put together a teaser track containing bits of every song on the forthcoming debut Session 606 studio EP, “REBIRTH” so I dug through my archives and threw together this video. The clips range from 2008-2012. They begin in Kingston, NY where this project initially took shape. Session 606 was put on the backburner for Mours, Weerd Science, and then The Flatline Symphony… but May 22nd will finally be the REBIRTH!
